Ultimately, the early talk of NFTs and the expansion of blockchain in the crypto winter of 2022 turned to fear, although this would not be the end for NFTs. 2023 saw a resurgence of blockchain enthusiasm, thanks in part to the strong comeback of NFTs, this time taking the form of Ordinals on Bitcoin. Similar to how DeFi Summer revealed new blockchain capabilities, Ordinals and BRC20 tokens showcased Bitcoin’s potential, fueling excitement about the future possibilities of blockchain technology.
